Abstract
The Late Iron Age Samad period follows the Early Iron Age in the eastern province of the Sultanate of Oman (Oman Proper). Its beginning and end dates are uncertain. This cultural assemblage is known principally from graves. The population are believed to have migrated from the Yemen. The article summarises knowledge at that time on the distribution, dating of the then newly discovered Samad period/assemblage.
