Abstract

Diese Sammelrezension erschien zuerst 2000 in der Zeitschrift "KAS-Auslandsinformationen". Darin werden insgesamt 12 Bücher besprochen, die sich mit sozialen Problemen in Indien auseinandersetzen. Zugleich werden die daran beschriebenen Problematiken im Kontext von Politik und Gesellschaft analysiert und Verbesserungen bzw. Modernisierungsmöglichkeiten diskutiert.

Translation of abstract (English)

This review of all together 12 books was firstly published 2000 in the German journal "KAS-Auslandslandsinformation". All books deals with social problems in India and their political and societal context. Likewise the books discuss solutions and modernization processes for the social problems in India.
