Leben und Werk von Mathematikern des 3. vorchristlichen Jahrhunderts: - Euklid (325 v. Chr. - 265 v. Chr.) und seine ,,Elemente'', - Archimedes (287 v. Chr. - 212 v. Chr.), der vielseitige Mathematiker und Ingenieur, - Eratosthenes (276 v. Chr. - 194 v. Chr.), von dem das Primzahlsieb stammt, und - Apollonius von Perge mit seinen Untersuchungen der Kegelschnitte.
