Abstract

Sei G eine einfache algebraiche Gruppe über einem p-adischen Körper F und T ein maximaler anisotroper F-Torus in G. Wir bestimmen im Fall der spaltenden klassischen Gruppen und in einigen exzeptionellen Gruppen G die Fixpunktmenge der F-rationalen Punkte von T im affinen Bruhat-Tits Gebäude. Dazu geben wir ein Verfahren an, das für die primitiven Konjugationsklassen in der Weylgruppe W von G eine explizite Beschreibung der zugehörigen Tori in Termen von Erzeugern und polynomialen Relationen liefert. Wir erhalten als Resultat, daß die Fixpunktmenge des Torus, der zur Coxeterklasse assoziiert ist, in einer Kammer des Gebäudes enthalten ist. Für Tori, die nicht zur Coxeterklasse assoziiert sind, hat die Fixpunktmenge nicht diese Eigenschaft.

Translation of abstract (English)

Let G be a simple algebraic group over a p-adic field F and T a maximal anisotropic torus of G. We determine for the split classical groups and some exceptional groups the set of fixed points of the F-rational points of T in the affine Bruhat-Tits building. We provide a method which yields an explicit description for the tori corresponding to the primitive conjugacy classes in the Weylgroup W of G in terms of generators and polynomial relations. We see that the set of fixed points of the torus attached to the coxeter class is contained in one chamber of the building, whereas this is never the case for tori not corresponding to the coxeter class.
