Abstract

Translation of abstract (English)

Based on files from Moscow party, state and art archives, the thesis outlines the ideological demands of the soviet power in respect of the repertoire work of theaters and philharmonic orchestras and the subject of state financing of the arts running counter to the aforementioned demands in order to show the defeat of ideological guidelines by governmental fiscal policy in the arts. The paper also documents the interleaving of decisions in art policy and institutional rivalry between party and state arts bureaucracies, whose protagonists, being enemies, pleaded ideological arguments, trying in fact to damage their respective opponent. It constitutes a dual relativization of ideology as the exclusive or even the main determinant of soviet art policy, as has been suggested by previous contributions on cultural life in the Soviet Union.
