Abstract
Die Arbeit will den in der Demokratietheorie in Mode gekommenen Begriff 'Deliberative Demokratie' genauer bestimmen. Dazu werden in Anlehnung an Hubertus Buchstein drei 'Versionen' der Theorie untersucht: der spieltheoretische Ansatz (schwache Version), der Ansatz von Jürgen Habermas (starke Version) und dessen pragmatische Wendung durch James Bohman (abgeschwäche starke Version). Dafür werden zunächst in Anlehnung an Fritz Scharpf die Kriterien, an denen sich eine Demokratietheorie messen lassen muß, herausgearbeitet, d. h. der notwendige normative Gehalt und die Anschlußfähigkeit an die Realität.
