Translation of abstract (English)

The present study is a monograph of the Lauryshava Gospel (Cracow, The Czartoryski Library, MS 2097 IV ruski), a manuscript which used to belong to the Basilian monastery of the Blessed Virgin at Lauryshava, in the vicinity of Navahrudak in present-day Belarus. Most likely commissioned by a Lithuanian or Ruthenian nobleman, the gospel book is decorated with eighteen miniatures, attributed by the author of the present study to three different hands. Special emphasis has been put on the iconography of the legend of Barlaam and Joasaph. Executed in the period between the last decades of the thirteenth century and the first half of the fourteenth century, this gospel book is attributed to a Galician-Volhynian workshop.
