abstract_translated_text: On sait que Willmann se rendit à Amsterdam pour apprendre à peindre bien qu’il ne demeure aucun dessin relatif à cet apprentissage. L’auteur pense cependant qu’une suite de vingt gravures de Josef Gregory d’après des dessins de Willmann, faites en 1794/95 et publiées à Prague en 1805 (Praha, Národní galerie v Praze) témoignent directement de ces essais de jeunesse. L’auteur pense aussi que treize dessins de Willmann, qui sont ici analysés, révèlent les méthodes de l’artiste et surtout l’utilisation de prototypes acquis par Willmann à Amsterdam, dans le but d’étudier la représentation des figures humaines et les relations entre les personnages et l’histoire. Willmann adopte les méthodes de Jacob Baker et de Rembrandt.
