abstract: Der dreibändige Katalog dokumentiert eine Zusammenarbeit zwischen Künstlerin und Sammler: In den Jahren 2003 bis 2023 hat Axel Rohlfs als Sammler-Assistent von Vera Molnar 500 Werkideen Vera Molnars aus ihren Skizzenbüchern (verwahrt im Centre Pompidou) in jeweils zwei Varianten mit Hilfe von Computern realisiert, eine Variante für seine Sammlung und eine Variante für die Künstlerin. Die Variation beruht auf der Änderung von Bildparametern und findet im Rahmen der empirischen Ästhetik aus Bildserien der Künstlerin statt. Ästhetisches Ziel dieser Algorithmik von Kunst ist ästhetische Ambiguität, die die Aufmerksamkeit aufteilt und die damit metakognitiv Aufmerksamkeitslenkung selbst thematisiert.
