%X This paper asks how Leonardo da Vinci, as a "uomo senza lettere", conducted his research and what systems he used to classify his results or what his attitude was to possible orders of knowledge. The central thesis of this paper is that the system of order most frequently used by Leonardo was that of the completed manuscript page, i.e. that he hardly used any classical systems of knowledge or order systems at all.
