The focus is on a reconstruction of the original plates of the atlas in the "House of World Cultures", which make it considerably easier to recognize quite a few details in Warburg's atlas. The review underlines the merits of the exhibition, but also notes that the accompanying exhibition catalogue does not reflect the current state of research. The same is even more true of the second exhibition at the Gemäldegalerie in Berlin, which brings together a selection of objects that Warburg included on the panels of his atlas. date: 2020 id_scheme: DOI id_number: 10.11588/artdok.00009423 schriftenreihe_cluster_id: sr-2 schriftenreihe_order: 66 ppn_swb: 1917142021 own_urn: urn:nbn:de:bsz:16-artdok-94239 language: eng bibsort: ZOLLNERFRAABYWARBURG2020 full_text_status: public publication: The Burlington magazine volume: 162 number: 1413 (December) pagerange: 1078-1083 laender: LDe oa_type: green themen: T25 themen: T20 citation: Zöllner, Frank (2020) Aby Warburg's 'Bilderatlas Mnemosyne': systems of knowledge and iconography - [Rezension].
