Abstract
Der Aufsatz bietet einen ersten Einblick in die neu entdeckten Texte aus Bassetki (altorientalischer Name: Mardaman bzw. Mardama). Die Keilschrifttafeln gehören dem Archiv eines mittelassyrischen Gouverneurs (13. Jh. v. Chr.) an. Die Provinz war bislang nicht bekannt.
