This is a continuation of my former studies of the dialects of Berlin, Mainz and Vienna. Some key features of the Egyptian dialect are: consistent distinction of all four //-signs; consonantic realization of c; t spoken as [ä]; use of [i] (in isolated cases [a] or [u]) as the inserted vowel; final stress in items such as hrw "day"; -j of weak verbs not normally pronounced. date: 2012 id_scheme: DOI id_number: 10.11588/propylaeumdok.00002409 schriftenreihe_cluster_id: sr-29 schriftenreihe_order: 68 ppn_swb: 1496718127 own_urn: urn:nbn:de:bsz:16-propylaeumdok-24092 language: ger bibsort: PEUSTCARSTSURVEYAGYP2012 full_text_status: public publication: Göttinger Miszellen volume: 235 pagerange: 75-84 faecher: FAE themen: T490 laender: R932 oa_type: green citation: Peust, Carsten (2012) Survey ägyptologischer Dialekte, (4) Ägypten.
