Abstract
Der Mathematiker Carl Gustav Jacob Jacobi (1804 - 1851) schuf die Grundlagen der Theorie der elliptischen Funktionen. Leo Koenigsberger, der zum 100. Geburtstag des Mathematikers 1904 eine mehr als 550-seitige Biographie verfasst hatte, hielt auch die Jacobi-Gedenkrede im Rahmen des III. Internationalen Mathematiker-Kongresses in Heidelberg.
