Abstract
Ziel der Studie war die Beschreibung der emotionalen, kognitiven, behavioralen und psychophysiologischen Komponenten sozialer Angst im Jugendalter. Methode: Eine jugendliche Bevölkerungsstichprobe (N= 27) und eine Patientenstichprobe(N=23) mit geringer bis hoher sozialer Angst wurde anhand von Selbstbeschreibungs-Fragebogen, Elternratings und einem Verhaltenstest (Rollenspiel)untersucht. Während des Rollenspiels wurde die subjektiv empfundene Angst, die selbstbewertenden Kognitionen, die soziale Kompetenz und die Herzfrequenz erhoben. Ergebnisse: Die dispositionelle soziale Angst korrelierte positive mit der subjektiv empfundenen Angst und der Anzahl an negativen selbstbewertenden Kognitionen. Keine Korrelation wurde zwischen dispositioneller sozialer Angst und sozialer Kompetenz gefunden, die von jugendlichen und erwachsenen Ratern beurteilt wurde. In Abhängigkeit von der dispositionellen sozialen Angst gab es keinen Unterschied hinsichtlich der Höhe der Herzrate in der Ruhebedingung. Während des Rollenspiels erhöhte sich die Herzrate bei Jugendlichen mit starker dispositioneller sozialer Angst signifikant deutlicher als bei Jugendlichen mit niedriger sozialer Angst. Diese Ergebnisse wurde sowohl für die klinische als auch die nichtklinische Stichprobe gefunden. Fazit: Das Erscheinungsbild der sozialen Angst im Jugendalter scheint große Ähnlichkeit mit dem der sozialen Angst bei Kindern und Erwachsenen zu haben.
Translation of abstract (English)
The aim of the study was to characterize the emotional, cognitive, behavioral and physiological aspects of social anxiety in adolescence. Method: A community sample (n = 27) and an inpatient sample (n = 23) of adolescents with low to severe social anxiety were assessed with self-report inventories, parental ratings and a behavioral assessment (role-play task). During the role-play subjective anxiety, self-evaluating thoughts, social skills and heart rate were recorded. Results: Trait social anxiety correlated with subjective anxiety and negative thoughts. There was no correlation between social fear and social skills rated by adult and adolescent observers. With regard to social anxiety there were no differences in baseline heart rate. During the role-play task the heart rate increased over time for adolescent with social phobic fear. The results are valid both for the inpatient and the non-patient adolescents. Conclusions: The phenomenon of social anxiety in adolescence seems to be similar to social anxiety in children and adults.
