Abstract

The handbook and edited collection “Comparative Studies in Literature and Translation. Methodological Approaches, Case Analyses, and Teaching Materials” present a contemporary approach to the study of literature and translation at the intersection of comparative literature, translation studies, and intercultural communication. The volume comprises three components: a methodological section outlining a taxonomy of comparative analysis, case studies of analytical mini-projects, and teaching materials. Particular attention is paid to the practical application of comparative approaches in the study of literature, translation, intermediality, imagology, as well as to the use of digital tools for text analysis. It is intended for students, PhD candidates, and lecturers in philology and translation studies, as well as for researchers in literature and translation, and is designed for use in academic instruction and for the development of independent research projects.
