abstract: Gegenstand der Untersuchung ist die lokale rote Glanztonware von Aizanoi, die aus verschiedenen Baukomplexen durch Grabungen zwischen 1980 und 2001 geborgen wurde. Neben der lokalen roten Glanztonware werden auch die importierten Sigillatafunde, die nur einen kleinen Teil ausmachen, in diese Untersuchung einbezogen. Ziel der Vorliegenden Untersuchung ist es, typologisch-chronologische Darstellung einer lokal bedeutenden Keramikgattung vorzulegen und durch eine vergleichende Untersuchung mit der importierten Funden die Einflüsse der grossen Produktionen auf die lokale Produktion in Aizanoi vorzustellen.

Beside the red glaze ware, also small amounts of Sigillata waere examined.
