abstract:  Questo studio riguarda l’acquisizione da parte di studenti germanofoni di su e sopra, due preposizioni che descrivono lo spazio. I temi che verranno trattati riguarderanno principalmente due punti: la semantica di su e sopra e l’acquisizione di concetti spaziali.Che cosa si vuole esattamente dire quando usiamo una preposizione come su o sopra è stato il primo problema che questo lavoro ha dovuto affrontare e risolvere. Vedremo più avanti che questo non è stato facile. Per il momento basti solo accennare che continuando una lunga tradizione si è fatto ricorso in prima istanza alla semantica componenziale, per poi osservarne le debolezze e assumere un approccio della semantica dei prototipi (cap. I). Se accettiamo la classica distinzione tra prépositions incolore e prépositions colore , si osserva che ci sono delle preposizioni intermedie, le cui diverse accezioni stanno ora da una parte ora dall’altra. Su è una di queste. Vedremo quindi che la classificazione classica (Rizzi 1988) non è utile per descrivere processi di acquisizione. Al contrario la semantica dei prototipi garantisce un’analisi semantica più precisa integrando anche aspetti funzionali. Si osserverà che anche l’approccio della semantica dei prototipi non è esente da critiche e rivisitazioni. È mia convinzione che l’acquisizione delle preposizioni da parte degli studenti tedeschi avvenga attraverso l’individuazione graduale dei prototipi, e successivamente dei casi periferici. 
abstract_translated_text: In the first part of this thesis, I analyze through different approaches the semantic of prepositions starting with a compositional (classical) frame of reference. Such approach proves to be limited for the analysis of a polysemic field such as that of prepositions. Furthermore, the connection between the core meaning of a preposition and the derivate and metaphorical meanings is not evident. Indeed, such cases are mostly not taken into consideration. Subsequently, the thesis employs an approach based on the theory of prototypes considering the frequency of a prepositional form used by a speaker to describe a scene. Empirical observations show how the presence of functional components in the meaning of a preposition (which follow a fuzzy logic and are not detectable with a compositional approach) determinates the choice between su and sopra when the scene occurs with contact.  Moreover, such approach enables one to find the prototypic meaning of a prepositional form; the prototypic meanings of su and sopra will be easily represented in a graph and distinguished from their peripheral meanings. I discovered that the peripheral meanings are most affected by crosslinguistical influence by L1. Indeed, the data show a relation between peripheral and metaphorical meaning with difficulty to be acquired.
