It encompasses the setup and implementation of an image processing supported auto- mated assessment of the particle depositions based on the analysis of the particles used, modelling the particle transfer out of an aerosol, deducing optimised param- eters and finding a surface analysis experiment that allows for semi-quantitative spatially resolved detection of amino acids coupled to the support in the microm- eter range. Furthermore, a flexible stand-alone interface to the control program of the automated system is implemented.
