title: Pure Money for a Sound Economy creator: Schmidt, Sandra subject: ddc-330 subject: 330 Economics description: At present, the world-economy is exceedingly fragile. Debt levels of nations peak. Monetary assets increase, too, and concentrate in the hands of few. In this paper, I show that a mechanism at the root of today’s monetary system entails an inherently fragile economy. I simulate the consequences of this mechanism within a macroeconomic model. I motivate a new monetary system that gives money the role it should have: to facilitate complex interactions in a stable environment. date: 2015-01 type: Working paper type: info:eu-repo/semantics/workingPaper type: NonPeerReviewed format: application/pdf identifier: https://archiv.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/volltextserverhttps://archiv.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/volltextserver/18115/1/Schmidt_2015_dp580.pdf identifier: DOI:10.11588/heidok.00018115 identifier: urn:nbn:de:bsz:16-heidok-181158 identifier: Schmidt, Sandra (2015) Pure Money for a Sound Economy.
