Therefore, therapeutic options are limited, and few standardized therapy regimens exist. Case presentation: We report a case of a 14-year-old white girl. In 2011 she was diagnosed with a metastasized, well-differentiated pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor with expression of synaptophysin and chromogranin A. We describe her clinical course with special attention to her individual therapeutic regimens while bringing together several disciplines of medicine. Conclusions: In patients such as ours, surgical intervention may be the only therapy that will lead to long-term survival. date: 2015 publisher: BioMed Central id_scheme: DOI ppn_swb: 1653704055 own_urn: urn:nbn:de:bsz:16-heidok-195809 language: eng bibsort: TREMMELTINMETASTASIZ2015 full_text_status: public publication: Journal of Medical Case Reports volume: 9 number: 230 place_of_pub: London pagerange: 1-7 issn: 1752-1947 citation: Tremmel, Tina ; Holland-Cunz, Stefan ; Günther, Patrick (2015) Metastasized pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor in a teenage girl: a case report.
