The main focus of this thesis is on the development of conjugated polymer-based chemical tongues and their sensory applications. In the first chapter, introductions on the synthesis of conjugated polymers and their sensory applications are summarized. In chapters 2-4, several types of polyelectrolyte-based chemical tongues have been constructed and been applied to the discrimination of small molecular analytes, complex mixtures and bioanalytes. In the last chapter, experimental details are provided.
