Chapter 1 presents a theoretical analysis of a three-person bargaining game under conditions of private information. Chapter 2 empirically tests the theoretical predictions from Chapter 1 through a laboratory experiment. Chapter 3 explores a related bargaining model, examining the impact of an unreliable party on the bargaining process. Chapter 4 analyses a coopetition problem specific to road cycling. A theoretical model leads to patterns that we test with empirical data of professional races. date: 2024 id_scheme: DOI id_number: 10.11588/heidok.00035797 ppn_swb: 191326792X own_urn: urn:nbn:de:bsz:16-heidok-357971 date_accepted: 2024-12-06 advisor: HASH(0x55bdeaaf12f8) language: eng bibsort: PIAZOLODAVECONOMICES full_text_status: public place_of_pub: Heidelberg citation: Piazolo, David (2024) Economic Essays on Bargaining and Coopetition.
