%X Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer and cause of death from cancer among women in Germany, Europe and the world. There are large regional differences in the number of new cases and deaths. The aim of this work is to investigate known and less known influencing factors, as well as prevention measures, and to clarify the cause of the differences in incidence and mortality in the 28 EU countries. This should provide approaches to improve this situation.
