abstract: Deutschland hat eine weit zurückreichende Tradition als Einwanderungsland. Im internationalen Vergleich gehört die Bundesrepublik Deutschland mittlerweile zu den größten Einwanderungsländern. Deutschland betreibt jedoch Einwanderungsverhinderungspolitik anstatt Einwanderung zu regeln, zu gestalten und die Integration von Einwanderern zu fördern. Unter der Prämisse, daß Deutschland von der Einwanderungs- und Integrationspolitik des größten klassischen Einwanderungslandes, der USA, etwas lernen könnte, wird die Einwanderungspolitik beider Länder analysiert und verglichen. Am Ende der Arbeit steht ein Vorschlagskatalog, der nach Ansicht des Autors Einwanderung nach Deutschland transparenter und gerechter machen sowie die Integration von Einwanderern fördern könnte.
abstract_translated_text: Germany has a long tradition as immigration country. Compared to other countries the Federal Republic of Germany is now one of the main immigration countries. Yet, Germany is doing an ?immigration prevention policy? instead of regulating immigration and to foster the integration of immigrants. Under the premise Germany could learn from the immigration and integration policies of one of the main classical countries of immigration, the USA, immigration policies of both countries are analyzed and compared. In a conclusion, the author presents proposals which are intended to make immigration to Germany more transparent and fairer as well as they could improve the integration of immigrants.
