TY - GEN N2 - This work deals with the mathematical analysis of some fluid-elastic structure interaction problems. More precisely, we study the flow of a viscous incompressible fluid in a cylindrical tube with flexible walls. Under the influence of the fluid (and possibly of some exterior forces, too), the elastic wall undergoes some deformations which induce a change in the fluid domain. This in turn has an influence on the interface between the two media and leads again to deformation. This is a typical situation in haemodynamics, where the flow of blood in arteries and veins is studied, toghether with the behavior of blood vessels under the influence of the blood flow.
