The method uses a Discontinuous Galerkin discretization and a structured grid to construct the test and trial functions. Boundary and transmission conditions along the complex shape of the domains are imposed weakly via the Discontinuous Galerkin formulation. This method o ers a discretization where the minimal number of unknowns is independent of the possibly very complicated shape of the domain. abstract_translated_lang: eng date: 2005 date_type: published id_scheme: DOI id_number: 10.11588/heidok.00005707 portal_cluster_id: p-iwrpp portal_order: 05707 ppn_swb: 1646174933 own_urn: urn:nbn:de:bsz:16-heidok-57077 language: eng bibsort: ENGWERCHRIADISCONTIN2005 full_text_status: public series: IWR-Preprints citation: Engwer, Christian (2005) A Discontinuous Galerkin Method for Simulations in Complex Domains.
