abstract:   Meine Arbeit beschreibt den chinesischen Maler Lin Fengmian und seine Werke, seine geistige Entwicklung und seine Ziele in der Malerei. Er lebte von 1900 bis 1991, in einer entscheidenden Phase der chinesischen Geschichte.   Lin Fengmian lebte in einer Zeit der permanenten Revolutionen und politischen und kulturellen Bewegungen in China. Kriege, politisch- wirtschaftliche und gesellschaftliche Krisen in der ganzen Welt boten ein schreckliches Bild im  20. Jahrhundert. Lin Fengmian gehört zur ersten Generation der Intellektuellen Chinas, die durch staatliche Organisation nach Europa reiste, in Europa Kunst studierte und danach die abendländische Kunst in China kreativ praktiziert und weiter berbreitet hat. Er ist zwar nur einer von vielen Malern und Künstlern Chinas, ist aber durch sein lebenslanges Streben nach "Harmonisierung der Kunst in Ost und West" und durch seine Praxis in der Malerei herausragend. Er wird deshalb als "Vorkämpfer" und "Wegbereiter" in der Entwicklung der modernen chinesischen Kunst geachtet. Er ist zugleich eine repräsentative Persönlichkeit, die in Geist und Tat eine Generation der chinesischen Intellektuellen vertreten kann. Auch sein Schicksal, insbesondere in der Kulturrevolution (1966-1976), ist mit vielen anderen Intellektuellen seiner Generation vergleichbar. Die Forschung über ihn und seine Kunst ist ein Versuch, seine Werke als typische Beispiele zu betrachten, die eine Einsicht in die geistige Entwicklung der chinesischen Intellektuellen des 20. Jahrhunderts bieten.
abstract_translated_text:   My work describes a Chinese painter Lin Fengmian and his works, his spiritual development and his destinations in the painting. He lived from 1900 to 1991, in a decisive phase of the Chinese history.   Lin Fengmian lived in the time of the permament revolution and political and cultural movements in China. War, political- economical and socal crisis in all world offered a terrible picture in the 20. century. Lin Fengmian belongs to the first generation of the intellectuals of China, he traveled to Europe by the organization of state, studied art in Europ and then employed the western art creatively and spreaded it farther in China. Hi is true one of a lot of painters of China, but he is excellent through his lifelong struggle for "harmonize of art in the East and the West" and through his practice in Painting. He is therefore respected as "pioneer" and "forerunner" in the development of Chinese modern art. He is also a representative personality at the same time. He can represent a gerneration of Chinese intellectuals in mind and action. Also his destiny, particularly in the "Culture Revolution" (1966-1976), is comparable with a lot of other intellectuals of his generation. The research about him and his art is a try to see his works as typical examples which offer to have a look at spiritual development of Chinese intellectuals of the 20. century.
