abstract: Das Ziel der Studie ist es, vorhandene Qualitätsmanagementsysteme und -methoden der Ausbildung Physiotherapie in sechs europäischen Ländern aufzuzeigen, zu vergleichen und eine Empfehlung für das Qualitätsmanagement (QM) in der Ausbildung Physiotherapie in Europa zu formen. Die sechs ausgewählten Länder sind Dänemark, Deutschland, Finnland, Großbritannien, Niederlande und Österreich.  Als Vergleichsgrundlage wurden die physiotherapeutischen Berufsprofile, die Ausbildungsprogramme und das QM der Ausbildung in den sechs Ländern dargestellt und analysiert. Zusätzlich wurde eine Fragebogenerhebung durchgeführt, um die aktuellen Methoden des QM und die Umsetzung der einzelnen Maßnahmen in Bezug auf die Struktur-, Prozess- und Ergebnisqualität an jeder einzelnen Ausbildungsstätte Physiotherapie zu erheben.  Von 127 befragen Einrichtungen sendeten 77,17% (n=98) Einrichtungen den Fragebogen ausgefüllt zurück. In jedem Land lag der Rücklauf bei mindestens 62,5%. An den Bildungsstätten für Physiotherapie sind mit „der Durchführung von Qualitätsmanagementsystemen, der Struktur-, Prozess- und Ergebnisqualität“ vier grundsätzliche Aspekte des QM gefunden worden. Maßnahmen der Struktur- und Prozessqualität werden umfassend in vielen Einrichtungen eingesetzt, die Maßnahmen der Ergebnisqualität werden in der Ausbildung Physiotherapie wenig eingesetzt. Aus dieser Studie heraus gibt es Empfehlungen, zur Verbesserung des QM in der Ausbildung Physiotherapie, für die einzelne Bildungsstätte, die Berufsverbände und die Akkreditierungsagenturen bzw. die aufsichtsführenden Behörden. Für alle genannten Institutionen gilt u.a., dass die europäischen, berufsspezifischen Standards bisher zu wenig Beachtung finden. Daraus resultiert, dass kein europäisches, aber zum Teil auch kein nationales Berufsprofil und damit Bildungsziel existiert. Als Konsequenz müssen die physiotherapeutischen Bildungsziele neu definiert werden. Neue Methoden der Kontrolle der Ergebnisqualität müssen entwickelt und eingesetzt werden, um dem gesellschaftlichen Auftrag der effektiven und effizienten Arbeit im Gesundheitswesen gerecht zu werden. 
abstract_translated_text: The aim of this study is to identify and compare quality assurance systems and quality methods of physiotherapy education programs in six European countries and to give advise for the quality management (QM) for the physiotherapy programs in Europe. The six countries chosen are Denmark, Germany, Finland, Great Britain, the Netherlands and Austria.  As a basis of comparison the physiotherapeutic definition of the profession, the study programs and the QM of the study programs of the six countries are presented and analysed. In addition a questionnaire was implemented to collect data about the recent QM methods and the realisation of each method according to structure-, process- and output-quality at each institution offering physiotherapy programs.  127 institutions had been asked and 77,17% (n=98) institutions have filled in the questionnaire and have send it back. The responserate of each country was at least 62,5%. With „the implementation of quality assurance systems, structure-, process- and output-quality“ four basic aspects of QM have been found at the education institutions offering physiotherapy. Measures of the structure- and the process-quality are extensively used in many educational institutions. The measures of output-quality are less appointed in physiotherapy education. This research study results in recommendations to improve the QM in physiotherapy education through the work of the single education institution, the professional body, the accreditation agencies or the governmental body. All institutions mentioned above have in common, that the European professional standards are so far not enough considered. As a result, there is no European, and for parts no national professional job description. Therefore, no educational goals exist. Consequently the educational goal needs to be defined newly. New methods to control the output-quality need to be developed and implemented to fulfil the demands of the society for efficient and effective therapeutic work in the health system.
