%X The creation and maintenance of glycan databases is critically important for the development of the field of glycobiology. As part of the process to build up the database, any deposited sequences need to be validated to ensure the correctness of the database. This thesis details the design and implementation of a semi-automatic system to validate new sequences with respect to the context that the sequences appear in.
