Abstract
Im September und Oktober 2021 wurde in Donnbronn eine Rettungsgrabung im Bereich eines alt- und mittelneolithischen Kulturdenkmals durchgeführt. Im Südwesten des Areals wurde eine kreisförmige Grabenanlage teilweise freigelegt, deren Verfüllungen stichverzierte Keramik der mittleren Linearbandkeramik enthielten. Sie markiert vermutlich die Grenze einer neolithischen Siedlung. Zahlreiche Gruben und Pfostengruben belegen weitere Siedlungsaktivitäten, ließen jedoch keine klaren Hausgrundrisse erkennen. Zwei tiefere Schlitzgruben mit Rotlehm- und Holzkohleeinschlüssen rundeten das Befundbild ab.
Translation of abstract (English)
In September and October 2021, a rescue excavation was carried out in Donnbronn in the area of an Early and Middle Neolithic cultural monument. A circular ditch system was partly uncovered in the southwest, containing decorated pottery from the Middle Linear Pottery culture, likely marking the boundary of a Neolithic settlement. Numerous pits and postholes indicate further occupation, though no clear house layouts were identified. Two deeper slot pits with red clay and charcoal inclusions completed the feature record.
