Abstract
Die Rettungsgrabung im Gewann Maiergewand bei Obermarchtal bestätigte eine vorgeschichtliche Siedlung. Im Areal konnten vier Gebäudegrundrisse mit zugehörigen Siedlungsgruben dokumentiert werden. Die Pfostenbauten messen etwa 10–12 m × 5–6 m und sind nordwest-südost orientiert. Das Fundmaterial aus Silex und Keramik datiert ins Neolithikum. Verzierte Scherben mit Ritz- und Stichmustern deuten auf das mittlere Neolithikum, vereinzelte Schnurabdrücke könnten auf eine Nutzung in der schnurkeramischen Zeit hinweisen.
Translation of abstract (English)
The rescue excavation at the Maiergewand site near Obermarchtal confirmed the presence of a prehistoric settlement. Four building with associated settlement pits were documented. The post in ground constructions measure approximately 10–12 m × 5–6 m and are oriented northwest–southeast. Finds of flint and pottery date to the Neolithic. Decorated sherds with incised and punctuated patterns suggest a Middle Neolithic phase, while possible cord impressions may indicate Corded Ware occupation.
