Abstract
Franz Adolph Taurinus (1754-1874) studierte 1812 in Heidelberg Jura. Er war später als Privatgelehrter tätig und entwickelte bereits 1826 eine nichteuklidische Trigonometrie, über die er mit Gauss korrespondierte.
