Abstract

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer and cause of death from cancer among women in Germany, Europe and the world. There are large regional differences in the number of new cases and deaths. The aim of this work is to investigate known and less known influencing factors, as well as prevention measures, and to clarify the cause of the differences in incidence and mortality in the 28 EU countries. This should provide approaches to improve this situation.

Brustkrebs ist die häufigste Krebsart und Krebstodesursache bei Frauen in Deutschland, Europa und der Welt. Dabei gibt es große regionale Unterschiede in der Zahl der Neuerkrankungen und Sterbefälle. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, bekannte und weniger bekannte Einflussfaktoren, sowie Präventionsmaßnahmen zu untersuchen und die Ursache der Unterschiede in der Inzidenz und Mortalität in den 28 EU-Ländern aufzuklären. Dies soll Ansätze liefern, diese Situation zu verbessern.
