Abstract
Die Geschichte der Porzellansammlung Gustav von Klemperers ist auf das Engste mit der jüngeren Institutionsgeschichte der Porzellansammlung Dresden verbunden. Es wird von den fachlichen Kontakten des Sammlers zur Porzellansammlung in den 1920er Jahren berichtet, aber auch von der Beschlagnahme der Klemperer-Sammlung während der NS-Zeit, vom Verlust großer Teile der Sammlung während der kriegsbedingten Auslagerung und von Restitutionen 1991 und 2010 an die Erben nach von Klemperer. – Das 2021 endende Forschungsprojekt an der Porzellansammlung Dresden wird erstmals die Verluste in der einst 834 Porzellane umfassenden Klemperer-Sammlung in der Lost Art-Datenbank publizieren und damit die Möglichkeit schaffen, bisher unentdeckte Objekte wieder zu finden und der Familie zugänglich zu machen.
Translation of abstract (English)
The history of Gustav von Klemperer's porcelain collection is closely connected with the recent institutional history of the Dresden Porcelain Collection. It tells of the collector's professional contacts with the porcelain collection in the 1920s, but also of the confiscation of the Klemperer collection during the Nazi era, of the loss of large parts of the collection during the wartime removal and of restitutions in 1991 and 2010 to the heirs after von Klemperer. – The research project at the Dresden Porcelain Collection, which will end in 2021, will for the first time publish the losses in the Klemperer collection, which once comprised 834 porcelains, in the Lost Art database, thus creating the possibility of recovering previously undiscovered objects and making them accessible to the family.
