Abstract

Nachdem ich (s.: http://archiv.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/propylaeum.dok/volltexte/2009/405/) die genauen Abmessungen von 29 Pyramiden ermitteln konnte, habe ich jetzt auch die harmonischen Abmessungen aller ihrer Pyramidions gefunden. Die Rücksprünge (altägyptisch "Seked" genannt) dieser Schlußsteine an der Spitze der Pyramiden bestätigen, daß ihre Neigungen musikalischen Intervallen aus antiken Tonarten entsprechen, die bei Platon ("Timaios" 35 a ff.) und Ptolemaios aus Alexandria überliefert sind. Die harmonisch-architektonischen Proportionen treten im Verhältnis der Pyramidionhöhe zu seiner Basishälfte hervor. Beispiel: tg 53,13° = 4:3, der Klang einer Quarte. So gehen aus den Böschungswinkeln von 29 Pyramiden reine Klänge hervor, die in ihrer Schönheit bislang nur sichtbar waren, jetzt auch hörbar sind.

Translation of abstract (English)

After assessing the exact measures of 29 pyramids by mathematical methods (cf. http://archiv.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/propylaeumdok/volltexte/2009/405/ ), I have recently found the harmonic measures of their respective pyramidions. The gradients (called sSeked in Old Egyptian) of these capstones at the top of the pyramids confirm that their angles of slopes correspond to musical intervals of the ancient tonal scales passed on by Platon („Timaios“ 35 a ff.) and Ptolemaios from Alexandria. The harmonic architectural proportions appear in the ratio of the pyramidion height to half of its base width; e.g. tg 53.13° = 4 : 3, which is the sound of a fourth. Thus, the angles of slope of 29 pyramids represent pure sounds that could only be seen in their beauty; through this discovery, we now can hear them.
