Abstract
Translation of abstract (English)
This work analyzes John Dewey's concept of a democratic school community under the aspect of ethic subjectivization on the basis of Michel Foucaults problematization of self-care. In doing so John Dewey's pedagogy is understood as an agent for the acquisition of democratic self-care, which implies the ability of an individual to speak truthfully (parrhesia). On this basis the attainment of democratic self-care is being discussed as opposed to the process of individuation in traditional school practice.
