Abstract
Der Aufsatz beruht auf dem vom Autor 1900 beim 2. Internationalen Mathematiker-Kongress in Paris gehaltenen Vortrag und beschreibt das Verhältnis Sonja Kowalewskys (1850-1891) zu ihrem Mentor Karl Weierstraß (1815-1897). Zahlreiche Briefe in deutscher Sprache von Weierstraß an seine liebe Schülerin bereichern die Darstellung.
