Abstract
Moritz Cantor versteht die Mathematikgeschichte nicht als eine isolierte Entwicklungsgeschichte der mathematischen Ideen, sondern er will die Mathematikgeschichte in die Kulturgeschichte einbetten. Der Aufsatz ist eine Replik auf zwei Artikel zur Mathematikgeschichte von Gustaf Eneström, dem Herausgeber der mathematikhistorischen Zeitschrift ,,Bibliotheca mathematica''.
