Translation of abstract (English)

This survey of the history of Deutsche Philologie from its origins in the 19th Century up to the 1930s is dedicated to the notion of language which was, explicitly or not, used by the academic Community of Interpreters in the field of philologicalhistorical studies. As to the definition of poetic language, there is a brief discussion of different theories at the beginning, the aim of which is to give support to a notion of poetic function as basic assumption for all languageuse. The main part deals with the changes of concept from its maintained identity with general history (e.g. in the writings of Grimm) through departmentalisation concerning research on language and research on literature unto the reevaluation of aesthetic and ideological functions set forth by the hermeneutic school of interpretation. The analysis makes obvious that former literary criticism did pay deficient attention to the communicative features of literary languageuse and interpretation. Dominant was instead a strong interest in ideological messages and types of "Weltanschauung" which took the linguistic surface as representation of a hidden, but decipherable meaning, fitting the interpreters normative expectations.
