Abstract

Rheticus' engagement with Copernicus is discussed in the light of new documents. In particular it is shown that there were strong astrological motivations behind Rheticus' acceptance of the heliocentric theory.

Translation of abstract (English)

Anhand neuer Dokumente wird Rhetikus' Zusammenarbeit mit Kopernikus diskutiert. Inbesondere wird gezeigt, wie die astrologischen Ueberzeugungen des Rhetikus zu einer positiven Bewertung des heliozentischen Ansatzes fuehrten.
