Abstract
Der Artikel schildert kurz die Geschichte und Erscheinungsweise des Allgemeinen Künstlerlexikons (AKL), beschreibt sein auf HIDA/MIDAS basierendes Datenbanksystem, die Namensansetzung der verzeichneten Künstler und die Datenstruktur der Künstlereinträge.
