Abstract

Translation of abstract (English)

The aim of this work was focused on the determination of the kinetics of the (cyclopentadienyl)cobalt- (CpCo-) catalysed cyclotrimerisation of phenylacetylene in supercritical fluids such as supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2) or supercritical water (SCW). The measurements were performed in 30 ml view cell autoclave equipped with a manual sampling system. The samples were analysed via off-line GC. With respect to the fact that actually there are no solubility data available for phenylacetylene and triphenylbenzene in scCO2, the reaction conditions (c, p, T) were tuned experimentally so that in the reactor homogenous conditions were obtained and representative samples could be taken. The kinetics measurements in scCO2 were carried out at 130°C, 150°C and 170°C under 380 bar with constant amounts of phenylacetylene and different catalyst concentrations. The influence of carbon monoxide on the turnover number of the reaction was examined by performing an experiment with a CO-pressure of 10 bar in sc CO2 in order to explain its role in the cyclotrimerisation mechanism. The data obtained were analysed within one common kinetic model on the basis of the reaction mechanism. The flow analyses in the mathematic model showed in agreement with the experimental data that during the catalysis the catalyst is transformed in a less active form ([CpCo(cyclobuatdiene)]) and [CpCo(cyclopentadienone)] as catalytically inactive form. On the basis of the kinetic model the reaction constants were calculated to 2.86.10-3 s-1 (130°C), 1.11.10-2 s-1 (150°C), and 3.74.10-2 s-1 (170°C), respectively. The activation energy was determined to 96.8±1.4 kJ/mol. The measurements in SCW were performed analogously. However the reaction proceeded at 400°C and under 400 bar pressure so fast, that even after a reaction time of 1 min no phenylacetylene could be detected any more. Extrapolated data obtained from reactions in scCO2 suppose the reaction constant in SCW to be 300 s-1.
