Abstract

Translation of abstract (English)

The topic of this thesis deals with empathy in the area of education and starts ba following general points: the general results of the research of empathy, definition of empathy, the limitation of empathy against similar emotional phenomenon, forms of empathy processes and the effects and consequences of insufficient or defective readiness and ability of empathy. The analysis of the diverse theories of empathy will be carried out by means of a new pragmatic educational category of empathy within a "final" (in the centre of attention there are human and peaceable acts which have a basis of empathy) and an "orientating" empathy (in the centre of attention is an empathic attitude which takes two partners in an empathic conversation and empathic manner of acting and gives both partners an orientation of action forms for a positive individual development of a personality of a person in taking into consideration of human aspects). Evolutional, psychological, psychosocial, psychoanalytical and pedagogical theories(in the centre of attention are social actions, moral actions) will be assigned to theories of a "final empathy". Theories of empathy, which take in the centre of attention as a process of imitation, of a telegenic feeling, of a special education form of tact, of an emotional experience ofa human conversation within a dialogue, of a highly sensitive and emotinal conversation with a person about his/her unbelievable/ absurd emotions and actions, will be assigned to theories of a "orientating empathy". The result of the analysis of the empathy phenomenon may be summarized as follows: the fundamental meaning of theories of empathy, the knowledge of empathy processes and phenomenon, the different trainings for developing empathy and the results of the empathy research do not reflect contradictory knowledge but diverse aspects of empathy and the relationship to motivational human systems. This is the reason for construction a new theory of empathy, a theory of a personal competence of systematic application of handling with different aspects of empathy for integrating diverse aspects of empathy in a human manner (DESK-theory). Parts of this theory are: the definition of empathy: empathy is defined as a diverse motivational factor of human behaviour with a relationship system of self empathy, social empathy and object empathy and a relationship to biological, developmental, educational and social factors. The general theoretical basis is: Ciompis theory of fractal affect logic, which includes a differentiation of diverse motivational facts and specific human behaviours. In this way it can be described and trained as well fundamental motivational modes of empathic processes (as a form of mind attractor) as diverse contexts of empathy like self empathy, social empathy and object empathy (as a form of mind trjectory). The diverse aspects of empathy are explained theoretically and by examples. The application of the DESK-theory for teachers will be presented as a general "modular training programme of empathy for teachers". Roland Ullmann (a lecture at the Educational College of Heidelberg)is trialling this DESK-theory and the modular training for teachres in designing a special training programme for students of sport. He will evaluate the effectiveness of the DESK-theory and the modualr training package for teachers, and use the findings for developing his own thesis. The theory that empathy is of high importance for a human existence, for an education of a person and for a social existence raises some important questions for empathy reseachers
