Abstract
Deutung der Novelle Svevos als Chronik der 1870er Generation, deren Lebens- und Weltkonzept mit dem Ersten Weltkrieg unwiderruflich zu Ende geht. Svevo setzt dabei ästhetische Codes ein, die auf Dante, Hegel und Freud Bezug nehmen.
