Abstract
Translation of abstract (English)
A historical survey informs about the representation of the legal vocabulary in dictionaries of general language and dictionaries of technical terminology. The dictionaries concerned cover the German-speaking area and deal with the lexicographic tradition from its beginning. Several types of lexicography of professional terminology are distinguished on the basis of the special relationship of the Latin and the German legal language. In the second part the ”Deutsches Rechtsw¨orterbuch” is dealt with as 1. a dictionary, 2. of the older, 3. West-Germanic (up to modern German), 4. legal language and finally 5. the relationship of professional terminology and semantic explanation in a historical dictionary is explained.
