Abstract
Kunstgewerbemuseum und Kupferstich-Kabinett der Staatlichen Kunstsammlungen Dresden untersuchen in einem 2022 bis 2026 vom Deutschen Zentrum Kulturgutverluste in Magdeburg geförderten Projekt die Beziehungen des Museumsverbundes mit den Außenhandelsfirmen der DDR. In diesem Zusammenhang wurden zahlreiche Archivalien im Bundesarchiv Berlin und im Stasi-Unterlagen-Archiv in Dresden eingesehen. Darunter befindet sich ein reich bebildeter Vorgang, der sich mit Diebstählen bei der Kunst und Antiquitäten GmbH in Mühlenbeck bei Berlin in den 1980er Jahren beschäftigt und die dortigen Räumlichkeiten sowie die Bearbeitung der Zu- und Abgänge von Kunstgut detailliert beschreibt.
Translation of abstract (English)
The Museum of Decorative Arts and the Cabinet of Prints and Drawings of the Dresden State Art Collections are investigating the museum network’s links with foreign trade companies in the GDR as part of a project funded by the German Centre for Lost Cultural Property in Magdeburg between 2022 and 2026. In this context, numerous archival records have been examined at the Federal Archives in Berlin and the Stasi Records Archive in Dresden. This includes a richly illustrated account dealing with thefts at Kunst und Antiquitäten GmbH in Mühlenbeck near Berlin in the 1980s, which describes in detail the premises there and the procedures for recording and dispatch of artworks.
