Abstract
Leonardo da Vincis Konzeption seiner verschollenen "Anghiari-Schlacht" (Florenz, Palazzo Vecchio, um 1503/1505) wird in Fontes 65 anhand schriftlicher und bildlicher Quellen, im Besonderen anhand der zeitgenössischen panegyrischen Beschreibung dieses historischen Ereignisses im Werk "Trophaeum anglaricum" – vom Florentiner Humanisten Leonardo di Piero Dati 1443 verfasst – analysiert und besprochen. Das lateinische Gedicht aus 500 Hexametern (Handschrift in der Biblioteca Riccardiana, Florenz) wird von Gregor Maurach transkribiert, ins Deutsche übersetzt und diskutiert. Die ausführliche Kommentierung entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit der Kunsthistorikerin Claudia Echinger-Maurach.
