Abstract
In seinem Vortrag am 10. August 1904 erregte J. König großes Aufsehen, als er behauptete, dass das Kontinuum nicht wohlgeordnet sein könne. Sein Beweis wendete aber in unzulässiger Weise den Bernsteinschen Satz an. Bereits in der Kongress-Sitzung erhoben David Hilbert und Georg Cantor Bedenken. Die Kongresspublikation berichtigt den Fehler, führt aber nicht mehr zu spektakulären Ergebnissen.
