Abstract

Translation of abstract (English)

The detection of NO2 in ambient air requires sensors that are capable of measuring concentrations in the low ppb range. Usually expensive systems based on gas phase chemoluminescence are used. We present a cheap surface acoustic wave (SAW) Sensor with the capability to detect NO2 in the 1 ppb concentration region. As the sensor signal we use the temporal attenuation change of the SAW sensor. A cyclic technique returns the sensor into a nearly NO2 free initial state. With this technique we reach a resolution of less than 0,8 ppb in the 1 to 150 ppb concentration range. The signal is extreme stable.
